Honestly, HiCha is a total lifesaver if you have friends, family, or contacts who use it, because it handles everything from instant messaging and mini-programs to quick payments all in one place. It can be a bit overwhelming with all its features, but when you need to stay in touch across borders or scan a code on the go, it just gets the job done."

About this app
HiCha — Where Your People Are. HiCha is a fast, free, private
messenger used by more than 700 million people around the world. Cha
means tea. It’s what you say when you want someone to sit down and
stay a while.
Text, call, share — with everyone who matters, on every device you
pick up.
Messages That Land Instantly
Send a text, a photo, a voice note, or a 2 GB video — it arrives
before you’ve put your phone down.
Works on a weak signal, works on an old phone, works in the metro.
Start a conversation on your phone, finish it on your laptop.
Everything stays in sync; nothing gets left behind.
Calls That Sound Like the Room
Crystal-clear voice and video calls, free, to anywhere in the world.
Smart noise cancellation removes the café, the traffic, and the
neighbour’s drill — and leaves your voice.
Up to 50 people on one call, so the whole family fits.
Groups Worth Staying In
Family chats, friend groups, the neighbours, the people you travel
with.
Polls, shared albums, pinned plans, and replies that actually thread —
so nothing important scrolls away.
Mute the noise without leaving the people.
Yours, and Only Yours
Every chat is end-to-end encrypted by default. Not a setting you have
to find — just how it works.
Disappearing messages, locked chats, and a passcode on the app itself.
No ads. No profiling. Your conversations aren’t a product.
Come Have a Cup
HiCha isn’t built for workflows. It’s built for the people you’d make
tea for.
One app, everyone you love, wherever you are.

Ratings and reviews
My commute goes through a tunnel with basically no reception and my messages still go out. On the old app they'd sit there with the little clock and then all send at once when I came up, usually after the conversation had moved on. Also sent my sister a 1.4gb video of my daughter's recital and it just sent it, didn't squash it into a potato first. About five months in, hasn't crashed on me once.
Nothing wrong with the app itself, it's quick and the group chats are far easier to follow than what I came from, threading actually works. Knocking a star off for the tablet version, it feels unfinished — half the settings just aren't there and it signs me out every few weeks for no reason I can work out.
